A specialized AX transformation partner for small and mid-sized manufacturers
Founded in 2000, IMPIX is a manufacturing-specialized AI company supporting AI Transformation (AX) for small and mid-sized manufacturers. Built on data standardization, its offerings include the A²LAB autonomous manufacturing platform, the B²LAB big data platform and V² AI vision inspection. Since beginning smart factory support projects in 2018 it has accumulated more than 100 tailored deployments, working with around 100 clients across pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, semiconductors and automotive. IMPIX received the Minister Award from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2024, and A²LAB BI holds GS Certification Grade 1.
What we do
Manufacturing sites already hold plenty of data. The problem is that it sits scattered in a different format on every machine, which makes it unusable.
That is where IMPIX starts. We take on the work of collecting equipment data into a standard form, then build predictive maintenance, quality inspection and process optimization models on top of it. We do not stop at delivery — we stay on so the system keeps running on the floor.
We do not believe AI takes root on a shop floor when the technology is handed over and the supplier walks away. Models lose accuracy over time, and equipment and process conditions keep changing.

Registered patents include a federated learning system for manufacturing environments, an AAS-based data collection platform operating method, an edge gateway supporting OPC-UA and PubSub simultaneously, and a question-driven no-code AI standard model solution.
Locations
Alongside the Seoul head office, IMPIX operates a Yangsan R&D center and branches in Busan, Changwon and Gwangju. Manufacturing sites are frequently outside the capital region, so we maintain regional bases to serve them.
Chief executive
Lee Sang-ho serves as chairman of the Korea Autonomous Manufacturing Platform Association (KAMPA). He previously advised the Ministry of Economy and Finance Innovation Growth Headquarters and the Smart Factory subcommittee of the Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and has lectured on manufacturing big data collection and analysis at the SME Training Institute.
